The client is a Swiss Cybersecurity software manufacturer and has been established in the IT market for almost 20 years. We stand for secure electronic communications in business environments.

We are expanding and setting up a site in Bulgaria, the new colleagues will be working in a team with the engineers in our headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.

For our offices in Sofia, Bulgaria, we are therefore looking for an experienced Security Test Engineer to join the team and work with us on our enterprise cybersecurity solutions in use by more than 1’500 customers all over the world. Who you are

You are an exceptionally organized, methodical professional keen on detecting problems and skilled in solving them creatively and effectively. Experienced in security testing and overall quality assurance alike, you are looking for a challenge where you can create and implement a strategy for quality coordination and testing as well as suggest solutions to solve quality problems identified.

As a critical thinker with good time management skills, you have a sense of ownership and take pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success. Your great interpersonal and communication skills and fluent English will allow you to work well in a distributed, multi-national team.

With your excellent technical skills and a strong understanding of complex system environments, you will take our products to the next level with respect to accuracy, security, and safety. You have 3+ years of work experience in Security Testing.

Additional skills and experience that you bring

• Security threat scanners and automation tools

• Proficiency in programming, Java is preferred

• 3+ years of experience with web security technology

• 2+ years of experience with software QA tools and processes

• Strong understanding of the security side of the software development process is the key

Our hiring process

You will be invited to a one-hour remote personality interview via Microsoft Teams, followed by a one-day technical interview.

The technical interview takes place in our office, which will give you the opportunity to get to know the offices or remotely and the staff already present. You will be given a mentor and a task to solve. You present your results at the end of the day.

Once you have successfully completed this process and we have hopefully answered all your questions, we will gladly make you an offer.

The Engineering team uses Scrum and works with modern as well as well-established development processes in order to be agile and innovative, but also meet our customers’ expectations. We issue up to two major product releases per year and work on eight-week sprints. Each sprint is comprised of six weeks of development and two weeks of testing.

Responsibilities

• Making sure that security is considered in every phase of software development to harden the application

• Identify threats, vulnerabilities or gaps in the products

• Suggest solutions to identified security problems

• Plan, create and manage the overall security testing strategy

• Research and suggest scanners and other tools for easing and automating the tasks

• Consulting the Engineering team during system design, implementation, and during the fix of vulnerabilities

• Participate and integrate the security testing in the overall quality assurance process

• Collaborate with the Product Development team to ensure consistent project execution

• Identify quality assurance process bottlenecks and suggest actions for improvement

• Oversee continuous improvement projects

• Collect quality data

• Identify key KPIs for product quality

• Prepare and present reports and metrics to senior management

• Audit and improve the security of our internal infrastructure
